Chapter One Farms: Events
2011 Schedule of Events

Paul Maye Clinic on October 28th and Fall HDT on Oct. 29th has been cancelled! Cancellation due to high water.

Trick or Treat? They say you cant fool Mother Nature, and so after much deliberation, we are cancelling our fall event slated for Oct. 29th. Chapter One Farms is located in Salem County, NJ, one of the counties declared as as a Emergency Disaster location.

The farm sits close to the Delaware River and has three natural ponds on the properties which are now 1 pond. The rear of the property is on Oldman's creek. A favorite fall venue known for it lovely fall colors is now a wonderful water playground for the horses and other creatures. We were working to redo the marathon course and to build another hazard, as hazard four is under water, but 4 more inches of rain on top of 21 inches makes it impossible to hold this event. Even the indoor is filled with water.

We apologize for those that had entered and were planning to come, but the safety of the horses and drivers has to be paramount. My friend and I swam our horses across the non-pond--these horses stand more than 16-hands and they were swimming! Fun, but a litle hard to do in a carriage. So we hope for drier days and hope that Winter will be more horse friendly. See you in the Spring for Chapter One Farms, ADT on April 14th, 2012.

Thanks to all who have supported the Chapter One events and we look forward to drier days, continue to check out the web site at www.chapteronefarms.com for ongoing updates and events.
